How to convert an invoice PDF to Excel
Choose a PDF with selectable text, or a clear PNG, JPG or WebP scan. The reader suggests supplier, invoice number, date, currency and line items. Compare every field with the original, correct the editable rows, then confirm your review and download CSV or Excel.
Invoice OCR with editable line items
Invoice OCR reads text from a scanned invoice or image and suggests spreadsheet fields. Use it for incoming supplier invoices when you need descriptions, quantities, unit prices and amounts in separate columns. Review the suggested data against every page of the original: OCR may confuse digits or miss rows even when the totals agree.
Example: turn an invoice into spreadsheet rows
Suppose an invoice lists two notebooks at 12.50 each and three storage boxes at 8.00 each. The item amounts are 25.00 and 24.00, giving a subtotal of 49.00. With 4.90 tax, the full invoice total is 53.90. If 20.00 has already been paid, the remaining balance is 33.90. These are separate fields in the export.

Convert an invoice PDF to CSV for import
Choose Download CSV after reviewing the fields. The file contains one item per row and includes the supplier, invoice reference, currency and invoice-level totals. Map those columns in your destination software and check its date and decimal requirements. Use Excel (.xlsx) when you need to preserve text invoice numbers such as 000123 without CSV type guessing.
Digital PDFs and English scans
Digital PDFs are read directly. Scanned pages and images use an English text reader on your device. Complex layouts, handwriting and unclear scans may need manual entry. Numeric dates with an ambiguous month/day order are left for you to check. Arithmetic-supported OCR suggestions are highlighted and must be reviewed against the original. This is assisted data entry, not a verification of the supplier or charges.
What is in the export?
The export has one row per item, with repeated supplier, invoice number, invoice date and currency, plus description, quantity, unit price, line amount, optional line taxes and discounts, subtotal, invoice taxes, discounts, shipping, full invoice total, amount already paid and balance due. The invoice total is a reference repeated on each row; do not sum that column. Taxes and shipping can explain differences between item amounts and the invoice total.
Importing into accounting or inventory software
Download the reviewed file and map its columns to the destination software’s required import format. The tool does not submit transactions, update stock or connect to accounting accounts. Keep the original invoice with your records.
Your file stays on your device
PDFs, images, source text and extracted rows are processed in this browser and are not uploaded to an application server. The page does not save extraction results to your document library. Clear the invoice when finished; exported files remain wherever you save them.
Can I convert a scanned invoice to Excel?
Yes. Clear English invoice scans and photos can be read with optical character recognition (OCR). Check names, dates, quantities and decimal places carefully. If a table is not recognized, add or correct its rows before exporting.
Is the invoice PDF to Excel converter free?
Yes. You can read an invoice, edit the extracted details and download Excel or CSV without an account. Choose one file up to 10 MB, with no more than 10 pages for a PDF.
Should I download Excel or CSV?
Choose Excel (.xlsx) for an editable workbook with column headings and numeric cells. Choose CSV for a plain table that many accounting and inventory tools can import. Check the destination software’s required columns before importing.
