About this policy
Updated 11 October 2026. This policy explains how Free Invoice Generator at freeinvoicegenerator.dev handles information. The service is run by an independent solo developer based in Pakistan, not a registered company. The website is hosted by Hostinger on a server in the United Kingdom. Public reviews and moderation
When you submit a review, we send your chosen public display name, rating, review text and publication consent to our server and review database. Pending submissions are not public. Approved reviews display your name, rating, text and submission date. Do not include customer or invoice data. Pending and rejected submissions older than 30 days are removed during subsequent submission processing; this is not a timed deletion guarantee. Approved reviews remain until unpublished or removed. Contact support with your review reference for a removal request. We do not collect an email address in the review form. Rate-limit records expire after two hours and are cleaned during subsequent submissions. Where a trusted hosting IP header is configured, an HMAC of the IP address is used for rate limiting; raw IP addresses are not stored in the review database. Review storage provider: Supabase. Database region: Frankfurt, Germany (eu-central-1). Hosting and backup practices also follow the provider’s terms.
Documents and assistant inputs
Business names, customer details, line items, payment instructions and document totals are handled in your browser. The current application does not send these fields to an application server, database or external AI provider. The assistant generates suggestions locally. Your brief is held in the current page session; applied suggestions become part of the saved draft.
Invoice PDF and image extraction
The invoice PDF to Excel tool reads files and recognizes English scanned text on your device. Your file, preview and extracted fields remain in the current page memory; they are not sent to an application server or an external recognition service and are not saved in browser storage. Clear invoice or leave the page to discard the extraction. The text reader and language model are downloaded from this website; ordinary hosting logs apply to those requests. Exported CSV and Excel files remain on your device and must be deleted separately.
Browser storage and retention
The application uses browser localStorage for the current draft in each workspace, up to twenty saved invoice/quote/estimate/receipt versions, and up to fifty versions from the additional business-document tools. The History page reads these records locally. Calculator inputs stay in the current page session and are not saved. These records have no automatic time-based expiry. A new saved version can replace the oldest when the library reaches its limit. Your browser may also clear site data. Local storage is not encrypted by the application and is accessible to people using the same browser profile.
Logos and exported files
Logo files are decoded and resized in your browser, then stored locally as re-encoded PNG images. They are not uploaded to an application server. JSON backups include your document details and any saved logo. PDFs and backups remain in the location you choose and are outside the application’s control.
Website hosting and technical information
Hostinger delivers the website. Hosting systems may process IP addresses, request paths, browser information, timestamps and errors to deliver and secure the service. The selected hosting server is in the United Kingdom. CDN, security, backup and other processing locations may differ; their locations and retention settings have not yet been confirmed for this notice. We do not claim that all information stays in the UK. Do not put private invoice details in a page URL.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
Google Analytics (measurement ID G-BJ1QYFWSRR) loads only after you accept optional analytics. It processes visit information, browser/device information, IP addresses used in collection, and cookie identifiers through Google; processing may occur outside the UK. Our page-view events exclude URL queries, fragments, referrer URLs and private History pages, and do not include document or calculator entries. After a PDF is generated and the browser download is triggered, we send a pdf_download event with only the document type and public tool path. This does not confirm that the file was saved or sent, and excludes filenames, customer details and amounts. Advertising signals and personalization are disabled in our tag configuration. The fig-analytics cookie remembers your choice for 180 days; Google manages its own analytics cookies. Use Cookie settings in the footer to reject or withdraw consent; withdrawal clears first-party Google Analytics cookies and stops future loading after reload, but does not delete data already received by Google. Analytics account retention settings still need owner confirmation. Local document storage works regardless of your choice.
Support emails
When you email support@freeinvoicegenerator.dev, your email address, name if supplied, message and attachments are processed through our Hostinger-provided support mailbox to respond to your request and investigate reported problems. Email is separate from browser-only invoice storage. Messages may contain any personal information you choose to include, so use made-up invoice details and redact screenshots. Hostinger provides the business email service. The support-message retention schedule and email-processing locations are awaiting confirmation.
Your choices and deleting data
You control the records stored in your browser. Export anything you need before deleting it.
- Delete individual saved versions from Documents.
- Use your browser’s site-data controls to remove every draft, library version and logo for this site.
- Start fresh saves the previous document in the library; it does not erase all records.
- Delete downloaded PDFs and backups separately from your device.
- Avoid saving sensitive details on a shared browser profile.
Details being finalized
The individual operator’s legal name and contact address, applicable legal bases, retention periods and relevant international processing arrangements still need confirmation. Company registration is not being claimed. This notice describes the current product and known services; these outstanding details will be added once confirmed.
Requests and future updates
Rights and obligations depend on the laws applicable to the operator and your circumstances. Where applicable, these may include access, correction, deletion, objection or a complaint to a supervisory authority. Email support with a description of your request and the address you used to contact us. We may need information to verify the request. We cannot retrieve or delete browser-only drafts remotely. This policy will be updated when our practices change.
